MAN Delivers 106 City Buses to Budapest
MAN has received an order for 106 MAN Lion’s City buses from the Hungarian transport company Volánbusz Zrt. This is the biggest order for city buses ever to come from Hungary.
Volánbusz will be putting the vehicles into operation in 2014. The MAN solo buses with their Euro 6 engines comply with the strictest emission standards currently in place and ensure efficient and environmentally-friendly public transport in Budapest, as well as in the capital’s suburbs.
The MAN Lion’s City in low-floor design is driven by a 280-hp common-rail diesel engine. A modern passenger information system and the air-conditioning system guarantee the comfortable carriage of passengers.
The MAN city buses increase the around 800-vehicle bus fleet of Volánbusz. As well as buses for public transport, the company also operates long-distance bus routes at a national and international level.
MAN Truck & Bus AG (mantruckandbus.com), based in Munich, Germany, is the biggest company of the MAN Group, and a top-ranking international supplier of commercial vehicles and transport solutions.
