Managing directors earn eight times average wage in Hungary
Budapest, February 5 (MTI) – Managing directors in Hungary earn on average almost 26 million forints (EUR 84,000) a year — more than eight times the average pay for all Hungarians — according to a study by Kienbaum Consultants, cited by business daily Vilaggazdasag on Friday.
The study, which analysed 13,000 positions at 60 businesses of varying sizes in different sectors, showed middle management earned on average 11 million forints a year, while qualified staff were paid more than 5 million forints. The remuneration includes bonuses.
Kienbaum found that 91 percent of managing directors and just under half of middle managers get a company car.
