Marathon protest against the restrictions on the right of assembly in Budapest – UPDATE LIVE VIDEO 🔴

Life without freedom is possible but much worse, independent lawmaker Akos Hadhazy said at a demonstration on Elisabeth Bridge in downtown Budapest, held to demand the withdrawal of amendments to the law on the right of assembly.
Hadházy: ‘Life is worse without freedom’
Hadházy told demonstrators that Elisabeth Bridge had become “the second Freedom Bridge”.
“Elisabeth Bridge means the people who know that freedom is not just a phrase or a talking point, that we must act for freedom, that it is worth it.”

He called for the protests to last until the government withdraws the law enabling “the use of Chinese-type face recognition softwares to surveille our compatriots in opposition”.
After speeches by former judge Adrienn Laczó and actor Kornél Simon, the demonstrators marched to the Buda Castle where further speeches will be held. Hadházy will hold “public-space MP’s surgery” during the night. Demonstrations are planned to continue on Wednesday afternoon.

The protesters promise to demonstrate all night at the Alexander Palace, where the office of the President of the Republic is located. President Tamás Sulyok signed the parliament’s decision immediately without criticism.
No protest has ever achieved a positive result. The government should just ignore them. Do not send police to protect them. Charge them if the litter. Eventually the will all go home.
Really? In France is all the opposite
Well done, protesters. Keep up the pressure. The government is scared of you, and that is why they make laws forbidding public gathering with nonsense excuse. Public protests have worked many times in the course of history, and they will work this time, too.
When you have protests like this the big question is what are you trying to hide? Thats the only reason people are protesting. They are hiding something.
You can assemble all you want.
You can’t promote degeneracy and other practices that are clearly harmful to the well-being of a strong, healthy society while assembling. And promotion is quite clearly what they are after, because in 2025 nobody cares who you love, who you frick, and who you don’t.
It really is that simple.

There have been so many protest that now days a protest is a common occurrence. The important thing is that the police ensure that the rest of the public is not inconvenienced and the protestors clean up after themselves.
