MEP Krisztina Morvai froze Juncker

European Commission European Union

According to origo.hu, this time not Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Council slapped someone as before he did Prime Minister Viktor Orban, but MEP Krisztina Morvai did him – at least, the representative of Jobbik’s list commented that after her speech, Juncker was speechless.

According to the website of the European Parliament, Morvai said the following:

“Mr President, the European Union is based on three pillars: multinational companies and banks order, those in political power deliver and the media sells it to the people. It is a complete concentration of power, and of course the most important European value is completely absent from it: separation of powers, checks and balances.

Because of this, a new Presidency is always a new hope. It is only individuals with their hearts and their brains in the right place who can challenge this system. Maybe in an office of the Luxembourg Government, or maybe in this room, there is a young lawyer – a young person with heart and brain in the right place – who is going to end up being the European Edward Snowden. I wish her well. God bless her.”

In May, Jean-Claude Juncker greeted the heads of government funnily at the Riga Summit in May. He pressed his tie to the neck of Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, and he said to Viktor Orban “Hello, dictator!”
