Ministry hails export contracts to South Korea
Budapest, February 4 (MTI) – Hungarian firms have been hugely successful at securing export deals to South Korea, the state secretary for economic diplomacy said on Wednesday.
Levente Magyar said that Prime Minister Viktor Orban had travelled with 104 representatives of 88 Hungarian companies to South Korea last November, and 23 billion forints (EUR 74.4m) worth of export deals have been signed since.
“This shows that we are on the right track and it was a good decision to declare the policy of opening eastward,” Magyar said. Setting up a system of national trading houses was “a wise decision” since they are the main contributor to export developments by Hungarian small and medium-sized companies, he added.
