Caught in Hungary: One of Europe’s most dangerous fugitives arrested in Miskolc – VIDEO

Hungarian police have arrested one of Europe’s most wanted fugitives in the city of Miskolc. The 49-year-old Polish man, identified only as D. T. P., was on the run for two years and wanted in multiple countries for serious crimes, including sexual assault and property-related offences.

According to Hungary’s National Bureau of Investigation (KR NNI), the fugitive was located after authorities received a tip through ENFAST, the European Network of Fugitive Active Search Teams. The suspect had previously spent a longer period in Slovakia before likely fleeing to Hungary. Investigators determined he was hiding in Miskolc and, on 4 August, officers apprehended him in the city centre.

Extremely dangerous criminal caught in Miskolc

The man was considered highly dangerous and physically fit, with a history of evading arrest across borders, including in Slovenia, Poland, Austria, and Germany. He had been listed on Europol’s “Most Wanted” list and had narrowly escaped capture several times before. Hungarian officers acted swiftly, leaving him no chance to flee this time.

Following his arrest, he was placed in extradition custody. A court ordered his detention on 5 August, and a decision regarding his extradition to Slovenia will be made at a later date.
