Miss Ghana visiting Hungary
The recent winner of Miss Ghana, Margaret Dery has come to Hungary as a guest of the Hungarian Trade and Cultural Center (HTCC), as Globoport reported. She visited fancy restaurants and important buildings in Budapest – like the Parliament, the Fishermen’s Bastion and Matthias Church – then proceeded to the most famous sights of the countryside, and finally ended her visit by attending a shooting of an episode of an online series.
HTCC organized an exchange program for beauty queens between Hungary and Ghana. Miss Hungary 2016 winner Tímea Gelencsér had been to Ghana recently, also thanks to HTCC’s activity.
She was doing some charity work in the Western African country, including the distribution of HTCC’s gifts for the children of an orphanage.
She did not only make many children’s dream come true, but she also fulfilled hers: she had an opportunity to ride a horse on the seashore in the city of Ada. The beauty queens of Ghana and Hungary have met there. They have attended some programs together in Hungary during the weekend. HTCC’s trade manager Szabolcs Kutasi welcomed Miss Ghana and the African country’s ambassador with a dinner in Apropó restaurant on Friday. Another dinner awaited the beauty queen on Saturday, this time with HTCC’s leader Sándor Balog, in Café 57.
Still, the Ghanaian lady’s trip did not end in the capital, she also visited the University of Debrecen, the famous Lake Balaton, and some significant wine regions, as well.
She also attended a photo-shoot with the actors of Hungarian online series Középsuli, which is a weekly series on Youtube about the life of a Hungarian high school. Miss Ghana did not only make some common photos with the actors, but she also played a role in the newest episode.
During her visit, Margaret also had an interview in TV2’s morning show, Mokka, where she claimed that she “loved to be in Hungary, because the Hungarian people are very hospitable”, and she was “treated as a local person” and “an honorary citizen.”
