Debrecen local council in eastern Hungary has rejected reports that a battery plant was planned in addition to the one already announced by China’s CATL.

The statement said that Chinese company NingBo ZhenYu Technology Co mentioned in recent reports was not a battery maker but rather manufactured metal parts for electric vehicles.
