Hungary’s food safety authority (NEBIH) has detected bird flu infections at a geese farm in Békés county, in south-eastern Hungary, the authority said on Monday.
The authority inspected a geese farm in Nagykamarás after reports of rising death rates.
The cull of 10,000 geese has been completed and restrictions have been put in place, the authority said.
Last week, the authority detected bird flu infections affecting a stock of 43,000 poultry at three farms in Békés county, it said.
