Hungary offers jabs for people from border regions
Hungary will soon start vaccinating people who live in neighbouring countries in areas near the Hungarian border, the government website koronavirus.gov.hu said.
Its vaccination drive is being extended to non-Hungarian citizens living over the border, in addition to Hungarians there, from Friday.
People living in western Ukraine can travel to vaccination points at designated border crossings, including to mobile stations and hospitals near the Hungarian border, using a shuttle bus service.
Arrivals from Romania, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia and Austria can access vaccination points in designated hospitals.
A personal ID or passport as well as a residency card are required.
