Hungary’s public media has so far collected nearly 30 million forints (EUR 90,000) in its charity campaign “Good to be good”, Beatrix Siklósi, the head of public television M5, said on Sunday.
Siklósi said the initiative, launched for the eighth time this year, has never attracted so many participants.
Organisers continue to welcome small donations, 500 forints each, by calling the telephone number 13600 (extension 04) in Hungary or sending 04 in a text message to the same number.
Funds raised will go this year to the Péter Cerny Foundation, which supports premature babies.
