Visegrád, a wonderful autumn destination – Photos
Whether we visit Visegrád for a day or a week, there is guaranteed to be plenty to discover. With its wonderful panorama, famous citadel, knightly equestrian performances, toboggan run and water program possibilities, the small settlement on the right bank of the Danube Bend is an unmissable experience. Visegrád, an hour’s drive from Budapest, is a must-visit destination!
For the first time, the Citadel jumps in at the hearing of Visegrád, but this lovely little town in the Danube Bend offers much more sights and program possibilities. In autumn, for example, it is advisable to book accommodation here for lovers of forest excursions, as there are many hiking trails starting from Visegrád.
Many people walk up to the Zsitvay lookout tower, admire the Apátkúti Valley or go on adventures on the Mogyoróhegy educational trail, for example. It can be easier to walk to visit the Kaán spring or the trout lakes – in the latter we can even catch our own lunch, which is prepared on request.
Visegrád is attractive for tourists both in winter and summer, you can go by car, boat or bus, the landscape is always beautiful, accommodation, cultural and sports programs await guests.
