Traditionally, Hungarian Catholic believers ask for blessings on Easter ham, scones, eggs and wine. After two years of unconventional food consecration, they marched again in their usual form to the main square in Csíkszereda (Miercurea Ciuc), Szeklerland, Romania.
The food for the consecration is usually placed in beautifully decorated baskets and covered with a cloth made for the occasion. A candle is also placed in the basket, which, like the salt, is later used as a holy utensil.
