Number of active infections at 6,861 in Hungary

One Covid patient died over the past 24 hours, while 180 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Thursday.

So far 5,715,525 people have received a first jab, while 5,504,899 have been fully vaccinated.

The number of active infections stands at 6,861, while hospitals are treating 93 Covid patients, 9 of whom need respiratory assistance.

There are 1,217 people in official quarantine, while 6,531,925 tests have been officially carried out.

Since the first outbreak, 811,517 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 30,056. Fully 774,600 people have made a recovery.
