One of these is going to be the “Cake of Hungary” in 2016

The “Cake of Hungary” competition is organized for the 10th time in 2016, and we finally have an official list of the cakes that are going to compete for the title, szeretlekmagyarorszag.hu writes.

In the first round a jury made up of professionals rated the cakes at the BaGa Tech International Confectionery, Bakery and Gastro-technical Trade Fair. Last year, the Cake of Hungary title was won by a delicious caramel cake with apricot pálinka from the Pannonhalma region.

Here are the ten nominees for 2016:

Golden Pear Cake – Tóth Norbert, Tóth Cukrászda (Dunaföldvár)

Túrós Csusza Cake a la Bakony – Caffé Kft., Művész Kávéház és Cukrászda (Budapest)

Silky Cake a la Fertőd – Vaslóczki Orsolya, Horváth Cukrászda (Budapest)

Hungarian Garden – Szentandrási-Szabó Emese, Suhajda Cukrászda (Budaörs)

Triple Raspberry Chocolate Cake– Szoljár Csaba, Solier Cafe (Gödöllő)

Grandma’s Fruit Cake – Nagyné Haán Bernadett, Major Cukrászda (Budapest)

Green Gold of Őrség– Szó Gellért, G&D Kézműves Cukrászda (Salgótarján)

Honey-Raspberry Cake a la Szentendre “Annamari’s” Cake – Nagy Péter, Szamos Cukrászat (Pilisvörösvár)

Pear-Cheesecake a la Tihanyi– Barabás Csilla, Édes-Gyömbér Cukrászda (Budapest)

Zuzorka – Szó Gellért, G&D Kézműves Cukrászda (Salgótarján)
