Orban hails Cameron win
Budapest, May 8 (MTI) – Prime Minister Viktor Orban has welcomed David Cameron’s victory in Thursday’s UK elections.
“Courage has triumphed. David Cameron is among the brave, he is plain-spoken and politically courageous,” Orban said of the Conservative leader.
“There are one or two EU related issues on which we have acted jointly,” Orban told public Kossuth Radio in an interview on Friday morning.
Hungary’s character from the point of view of the “culture” of political discourse, constitutionality and public thinking are rather similar to Britain’s, he insisted.
“That is why the outcome of the British vote is a point of reference for us,” Orban said.
