Orban meets with EPP group leader
Budapest, September 11 (MTI) – If Greece is unable to protect its borders then the European Union should be given the right to do so with real and determined force, Prime Minister Viktor Orban told journalists on Friday after talks with the group leader of the European People’s Party Manfred Weber.
The legal conditions for ensuring such a solution must be established, Orban said, adding he would make a related proposal to his European counterparts.
Weber said that he supported EU intervention to protect the external borders if national forces are unable to do so.
Greece’s not enforcing the Schengen rules does not authorise Hungary to act similarly, Orban said and repeated his commitment to abiding by those regulations. “Hungary stands firmly on the basis of European values and will continue to do so,” he insisted.
Weber said that upholding the Schengen principle requires appropriately guarding the EU’s external borders, and noted Hungary’s efforts to enforce European border control and registration regulations. He added that migrants should be warned that they are not offered a free choice of residence in Europe and that they need to cooperate with local authorities.
Answering a question, Orban said that migrants in Hungary had “staged a mutiny” and refused to cooperate with the authorities and even assaulted the officers. But the police did an excellent job without using coercion, he said.
Concerning new laws taking effect on September 15, Orban said that illegal entry cannot be handled leniently. Those that cross the border illegally will immediately be detained, he said, and warned migrants not to take that risk.
Refugees will only be received if they have proof that they had filed an application for asylum in Serbia, which is considered a safe country, and the application was either refused or not handled fairly, Orban said.
Weber praised Hungary’s efforts to meet its obligation in getting refugees registered and noted that in terms of enforcing European regulations Hungary was doing a better job than Greece or Italy. The EU is committed to helping Hungary, he added.
The opposition Egyutt party rejected Orban’s remarks suggesting a mutiny among migrants, and said that no such thing had happened. Rather, said a statement sent to MTI, the ruling parties handle refugees as an enemy.
The government, after “half a year of pledges” is still unable to manage the refugee crisis professionally; it has abandoned both the refugees and Hungary’s citizens, police and social workers, whose working conditions are not appropriate, the statement said.

P.M. Orban is doing the right things to protect Hungary vis a vis the Muslim invasion of Europe happening now. He is living in dreamland, though, if he expects the subversive EU to protect Greece’s or any other country’s borders from the flood of bogus Mid East refugees pouring in. The evil eurocrats in Brussels like the invasion of masses of Third-World aliens just fine. They’re not going to stop it; this is what they want! They may pretend to be outraged at porous borders, but that’s pure hypocrisy. As far as they are concerned, keep the bodies coming in. Their ultimate goal is the destruction of White, Christian Europe, and they will stop at nothing to achieve that!
