Orban opens new factory hall in Hungary’s east
Budapest, March 18 (MTI) – It is in Hungary’s vital interest to cooperate with foreign investors that provide new jobs in the country, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on Tuesday, opening the third production hall of RAFI Hungaria in Mezotur in east Hungary.
Hungarian industry depends for its survival on cooperation with the German industry, Orban said, referring to the local subsidiary of the German electromechanical and communications components maker.
Hires are increasing by 40 to 440 with the new hall’s commissioning. The 840 million forint expansion had a 240 million government subsidy, Orban noted.
The government plans “serious developments” in this traditionally poor part of the country in the next four years, he said, promising at the same time long-term cooperation to RAFI Hungaria if the government is reelected in April.
