Orbán’s son-in-law wants to increase hotel prices in Hungary significantly

István Tiborcz, the husband of PM Viktor Orbán’s eldest daughter, Ráhel, and one of the wealthiest Hungarian businessmen talked to the Budapest Business Journal about the future of his BDPST Group. Among others, he spoke about luxury tourism in Hungary and how luxury hotels should increase their prices and the quality of their services. Tiborcz was Hungary’s 36th wealthiest and 13th most influential person in 2022.

According to index.hu, Mr Tiborcz said they would like Budapest to become a target of luxury tourism. He added he would like the BDPST Group to create a portfolio in which the hotels provide all-year attractions for their guests. That is why they sold two ski resorts in Murau, Austria.

He highlighted that being cheap could not be the main touristic attraction of Hungary. He added that Budapest has potential in premium tourism and other capitals in the region preceding the astonishing Hungarian metropolis. Budapest is destined to attract more tourists who remain longer, have a higher purchase power and an interest towards Hungarian culture. Therefore, Budapest needs premium category hotel services and quality gastronomic and cultural programs.

Tiborcz said it was not right that tourists choose Budapest for its cheapness. As a result, wealthier visitors go to Vienna because they find luxury shops in the Austrian capital. Therefore, five-star hotels should raise their prices and reach the cost of their Western competitors. In return, they should offer similar quality services. For an example, he mentioned the guest circle of the Botaniq Turai Castle, a member of the BDPST Group.

When will the rich and powerful have enough? Food prices are so high. Taxes are so high. Quality of life is sinking. At least the construction industry is booming. Too bad it builds unnecessary structures.

At least rich tourists can enjoy Hungary. What a failed state Hungary is becoming.

Its ALL associated with EMPIRE building.
Trump personifies modern day attempts to BUILD empires placing there POSITIONS – what’s in it for me first for my EMPIRE over and above the PEOPLE.
Trump – rightfully has had his “knees” cut from under him, for his WRONGFULLNESS – driven by Greed, Selfishness and Abuse, the exploitation of people – Americans – from creating a truly definable seen EMPIRE.
Orban – look DEEP into his demeanour, his favoured side of his involvement in business activities, in this case, his Son-in-Law, from a Family of Wealth or “Privileged” position in Hungarian Society, placing it under the single title of PROPERTY – Hotel & Accommodation – its ALL part of the PLAN to be an EMPIRE.
“Bleed” the people the pockets of Hungarians and “others” to FOSTER build an EMPIRE.
The encasement factual process that is QUITE obvious looking into Orban of his EMPIRE vision & plans – BUILDING – need – for the FUTURE of the grave present position that Hungary is as a country – ceasing or CORRECTING.
Orban – his “present” position as Prime Minister of Hungary, he is PERMITTED encouraged somewhat – to open doors and windows, pull the strings – in the continuation process that holds a prioritized position in his being, to build an EMPIRE.
History never Lies – and a read into Empires leaves one with a feeling somewhat like the writings of Shakespeare – vastness of them CEASE best explained as TRAGEDIES.
Members of the encasement, there “palms” muchly greased dominated by there Loyalty to there provider – there FEEDER – in this case, the present Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Orban.
Its a DEEPER subject, the building of an EMPIRE than just referring to it as the Domination of a country, by the known Oligarch Set – in this case, the Hungarian and “other” – Oligarch Group.
The spread or infestation – likened to tentacles, the insidious spread and control – POWER – that is effecting in millions of Hungarians – in there daily lives. through the Orban plan to, its beyond creation, as its HAPPENING – an EMPIRE.
The broadness of its IMPACT on Hungary, at this “Perilous” point in time – a time that see’s Social inequality – being the – Rich get Richer and the Poor get Poorer – in millions of Hungarians – makes the Oligarch Group, look like a “needle in a haystack.”
The Empire – the Dynasty – carried on could be in probability through the Grand-children – the children of Orbans daughter and Son-in-Law.
Robust Easter discussion paper – that may turn on or off lights – be an awakening call – but does have CEMENTED validness in the subject matter – the build of the EMPIRE of Orban.

Comments by Mario, Zoli and Vomitous – just an INKLING that are “in there” the massive destruction of Hungary, being bought upon us by Victor Orban/Fidesz and his Government.
    History NEVER Lies.
August 1989 – Victor Orban took to the stage, the microphone in Hero’s Square – “mouthing off” singing the PRAISES of Democracy.
Orban – governed ruled under COMMUNISM from Moscow – a think of the past, that we in Hungary had endured suffered from 1945 – to 1989 – the Fall of the Wall.
DEMOCRACY – was our way forward .
Hungary – our FUTURE is under DEMOCRACY.
Orban – our FUTURE, our Freedom – our ABILITY to CHOOSE by our Vote unrestricted – these are just few of the ADVANTAGES to Hungary – the FUTURE of Hungary – that DEMOCRACY – empowers us with – gives US.
Orban – “mouthing” off to all in attendance – to ALL of Hungary, his words RESONATING out into ALL of Europe into the wider Global World, embracing, singing the PRAISES of DEMOCRACY – in a “pontificated” presented manner of speech – that could be likened to an Orgasm.
WHAT – and we Hungary for 13 years by our vote of support for this man – Victor Orban – we shoulder ALL for his appointment.
What has he undertaken accomplished that at this point in TIME – this “Perilous” un-certain time, what has he GIVEN us.
WHY – in his TRANSFORMATION as an individual – post 1989 – why the CHANGE from the “Pontification” of our need – our FUTURE under DEMOCRACY – why the total reversing of his “Orgasm” excitement, to our FUTURE being under DEMOCRACY – to WHAT he has given Designed & Manufactured presented to us HUNGARY – in 2023?
It just WORSENS – and Hungary we tolerate it, which in growing MILLIONS we will SUFFER.
Easter the time we celebrate the Risen Christ.
Hungary – nobody – nobody in a position that could be seen nor titled as an opposer – an OPPOSTION to Victor Orban – has RISEN – which is WRONGFUL and adds to the MESS we Hungary are in – that will horrendously WORSEN.

I am from Great Britain, and I have lived in Hungary for a while now, but this idea of increasing hotel prices in Budapest won’t be good for the hungarian tourism industry!!! There is a financial crisis going on in the world right now!! And in the coming years is set too get worse!!! You have a major conflict on your boarder with Russia and the ukraine!! It would be madness to do what Orban son in law is suggesting!!!!! The best thing this government can do for it’s people is to reduce the tax rate, and encourage more direct money to flow into Hungary.

    Ian Bacon,
Likewise and CONCUR with your COMMENT.
Hungary must find a way of returning to a DEMOCRACY.

Budapest is not chosen for it’s cheapiness.
What does lack is service and a better kitchen. Both are disappointing, very disappointing. Cold dinner is the norm just like lack of taste. Not even once in 12 years time I had a great dinner, same if it viena ti tea, coffee and vakera.
