Otto Fuchs to double production with EUR 41.3m investment

Budapest, April 19 (MTI) – German automotive supplier Otto Fuchs will double production capacity at its plant in Tatabánya (NW Hungary) with a 12.8 billion forint (EUR 41.3m) investment, Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s foreign affairs and trade minister, said on Tuesday.

The company will receive a 1.2 billion forint governmental grant for the project.

Aluminium wheel hub production at the plant in Tatabanya could reach 2 million pieces by the end of the year, up from 1 million pieces in 2014, Szijjártó said.

The plant currently employs 380 workers and the investment could create 180 jobs.

The Hungarian unit of Otto Fuchs supplies wheel hubs to Audi, BMW and Mercedes.
