Outrageous! Young Hungarian man charged with rape, chaining, human trafficking and slavery

Nógrád County Attorney General’s Office charged the man with human trafficking and other serious crimes.

The Nógrád County Attorney General’s Office has prosecuted a 22-year-old man in Salgótarján for human trafficking and other serious crimes. The man employed workers in his home in inhumane conditions. – writes Telex.

The man made his victims work between 2018 and 2020 at his house. They did house chores and construction work. The victims were lured to the house with the promise of wage, accommodation and food. All of the victims were people from backgrounds that made them vulnerable.

The man also bought people. A man who had a tutor was bought for 70,000 forints (EUR 195.52).

The victims did not get proper accommodation, and they were not allowed to enter the house, not even to use the bathroom. They slept in what Hungarians call “summer kitchen”, which is usually an additional part or building to the property, a separate small space for cooking specifically. Some victims slept in a car that was out of use – writes ugyeszseg.hu. The perpetrator’s permission was necessary to leave the property, and if this restrain was not taken into consideration, the criminal used abuse to wield power over the victims.
