Parliament to hold debate on 2016 budget
Budapest, May 25 (MTI) – Lawmakers will hold a debate about the 2016 budget, and legal amendments and tax changes connected to it in the next five days in a session starting on Tuesday.
A final vote on approving amendments to the 2015 budget is scheduled for Wednesday morning. Economy Minister Mihaly Varga has proposed increasing the budget deficit by 15 billion forints (EUR 48.85m) to finance Hungary’s military participation in Kurdistan and to stabilise the financial situation of Budapest’s public transport company by paying its accumulated debts of 52 billion forints.
A total of 30 hours have been scheduled for a general debate of the 2016 budget that will follow.
