PHOTOS: World-famous Budapest luxury hotel among the best in the world!
The Four Seasons hotel in Budapest has recently received a prestigious award.
The US Forbes media company has the world’s only global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas. As it does every year, the Forbes Travel Guide has announced this year’s winners of the Star Awards. Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest has been awarded the Forbes Travel Guide’s most prestigious five-star classification for the seventh consecutive year.
As the Hungarian Forbes writes,
this makes the hotel the only one listed among the world’s best in Hungary – and the hotel’s spa department has also received a four-star award.
Awards are based on 900 objective criteria
Hotels, restaurants and spas are ranked according to 900 objective criteria, and the stars received reflect the quality of service. The star rating system is similar to that of the Michelin Guide. Just like in the case of the Michelin Guide which awards restaurants with stars, the Forbes Travel Guide’s reviewers are anonymous.
Thanks to a rigorous classification based on this vast number of criteria, a hotel that receives a five-star rating has indeed flawless service and outstanding facilities.
There are other Hungarian hotels among the Forbes Travel Guide award winners, but the prestigious five-star title has only been given to the Four Seasons. This year’s Hungarian winners of the Forbes Travel Guide include Anantara New York Palace Budapest Hotel, Corinthia and InterContinental, which all received recommendations. The Kempinski Hotel and The Ritz-Carlton both were given four stars.
In the spa category, the Four Seasons is the only Hungarian hotel to receive an award.
Thibaut Drege, CEO of Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest, described it as a great honour to be awarded five stars for the seventh consecutive year. He said the award was the recognition of the hotel team’s exceptional commitment to providing memorable experiences and outstanding service to all guests.
