Police warning for pet owners on New Year’s Eve
Budapest, December 31 (MTI) – The explosion and sound effects of firecrackers and similar devices used in festivities during New Year’s Eve could cause a shock to many dogs and cats, daily Magyar Nemzet said on Thursday.
Under a police warning, owners are “personally responsible” to take care of their pets, which may run away and get killed in the traffic, the paper said. Owners are advised to stay with their pets unless their safety can be ensured in another way.
Runaway dogs with microchips can be traced at www.ebangyal.hu.
