Public TV launches Chinese-language news
Budapest, January 5 (MTI) – Hungarian public television launched a Chinese-language news programme on Monday, the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) said on its Facebook page.
The daily programme can be seen on news channel M1, after the broadcast of a Russian-language news programme.
China’s role as a strategic economic partner of Hungary was an important consideration for the launch of the programme, MTVA said. Chinese nationals living and working in Hungary should have a first-hand account of Hungarian political and economic decisions, the fund added.
M1 also broadcasts news programmes in English and German.
