To celebrate India’s 76th Republic Day, the Indian Embassy in Budapest hosted a memorable event, followed by a mesmerizing cultural performance organised by the Amrita Sher-Gil Cultural Centre (ASCC). Diplomats, dignitaries, journalists, and members of the vibrant Indian diaspora gathered at the Embassy to commemorate this historic occasion.

The festivities commenced with the hoisting of the tricolor by His Excellency Mr. Partha Satpathy, Ambassador of India to Hungary, accompanied by the rendition of the national anthem that resonated with the audience.

Thereafter, Ambassador Mr Satpathy read out the address by the Hon’ble President of India delivered on the occasion. Further, he underscored India’s democratic values and the collective spirit that defines the nation and Republic Day celebrations.

Following the official ceremony, the ASCC auditorium transformed into a vibrant stage for a cultural extravaganza, highlighting the rich and diverse heritage of India. From captivating classical dances to soul-stirring music, the performances left the audience spellbound with their elegance and artistry. The highlight of the cultural event was the performance on “Har Ghar Tiranga” song.
