Retail sales climb by 5.4 pc in July
Retail sales in Hungary rose by an annual 5.4 percent in July, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data released on Wednesday.
Sales growth slowed from 6.8 percent in June.
Retail sales rose by 5.3 percent when adjusted for calendar year effects.
Adjusted food sales were up 2.2 percent, non-food sales climbed by 9.2 percent and fuel sales rose by 5.6 percent.
In January-July 2018, retail sales rose by 6.7 percent according to unadjusted and calendar-year adjusted data compared to the same period a year earlier.
Adjusted food sales were up 4.1 percent, non-food sales climbed by 9.8 percent and fuel sales rose by 7.2 percent.
