Revolut customers in Hungary have received welcome news, as the fintech giant introduces a temporary concession that significantly raises fee-free cash withdrawal limits. The additional allowance will be applied automatically and could affect more than two million users.
Revolut announced one-off benefit for Hungarian clients
The company has announced a one-off benefit for its Hungarian clientele: throughout July and August 2026, all domestic users will receive an extra fee-free cash withdrawal allowance. The offer, published on Revolut’s website, will be made available automatically to those eligible, revb.hu wrote.
Under the scheme, Revolut will provide an additional HUF 300,000 (EUR 859) in fee-free withdrawals from ATMs in Hungary, on top of existing limits. The promotion applies not only to customers already using Hungarian account details, but also to those who remain on the platform’s Lithuanian account structure. According to revb.hu, approximately 2.3 million Hungarian Revolut users could benefit.

No declaration or application is required to access the concession. The extra allowance will be granted automatically and is independent of the fee-free withdrawal entitlement provided by Hungarian law through domestic banks.
Different base limits
Revolut’s various subscription tiers carry different base limits:
- Standard and Plus customers will receive an additional HUF 75,000 in fee-free withdrawals worldwide beyond the domestic HUF 300,000 threshold,
- Premium subscribers will benefit from a further HUF 150,000.
- The temporary promotion will be added on top of these existing limits.

The move comes at a time of significant change in Revolut’s Hungarian operations. In recent months, the company has begun migrating customers under its Hungarian branch, enabling a range of new services and local banking functions.

The summer concession is likely to prove particularly useful for those seeking access to larger sums of cash ahead of travel or during holidays, without incurring additional charges. It also signals Revolut’s intent to further strengthen its position in Hungary’s banking sector, where its services are already used by several million customers.
