Hungarian hospital reintroduces mandatory masks and partial visitor ban from today!
The Csolnoky Ferenc Hospital in Veszprém County will reintroduce mandatory mask-wearing and impose a partial visitor ban from Monday, 1 December, the institution announced on its social media platforms. The measures, which take effect at 8 AM, are aimed at protecting patients, staff, and all others present in the building.
According to the hospital, the decision was made by the general director in response to increasing respiratory illnesses and the need to safeguard vulnerable patients. Under the new rules, anyone inside shared hospital spaces must wear a mask covering both the nose and mouth. This applies to corridors, waiting rooms, wards, consulting rooms and examination areas.
Inpatients are exempt while staying inside their own rooms, but the mask requirement remains mandatory everywhere else inside the hospital.
In addition to mask-wearing, hand sanitisation will also be compulsory at all entry and exit points. Everyone entering or leaving the wards must disinfect their hands using alcohol-based sanitiser provided by the hospital.
