Rural development programme set to be cleared by Brussels
Budapest (MTI) – All remaining obstacles preventing the European Commission’s approval of Hungary’s rural development funding programme for 2014-2020 have been removed, daily Napi Gazdasag said on Saturday.
All professional and technical questions regarding the programme have been cleared up, the paper said.
Tenders for funding are being prepared and the first invitations could be called in the autumn, the Prime Minister’s Office told the paper.
About 1,300 billion forints (EUR 4.2bn) is available for rural development during the 2014-2020 funding period. Job creation and preservation are among the main goals of the programme.
