Russia’s intelligence activities and influence were growing in Hungary

Budapest, December 1 (MTI) – Parliament’s national security committee was briefed on the activities of foreign intelligence agencies in Hungary on Thursday.

Zsolt Molnár, the (Socialist) head of the committee, said after the meeting that although a number of foreign intelligence agencies were present in Hungary, few of them were interested in Hungary as a target country.

Szilárd Németh of ruling Fidesz declined to elaborate on the details of the briefing, citing the confidentiality of the information that had been shared.

Jobbik’s Ádám Mirkóczki and Bernadett Szél of LMP said the parties were given a detailed account of Russia’s intelligence activities in Hungary.

Mirkoczki said that Russia’s interest in Hungary “has not waned”, adding, however, that Hungarian counter-intelligence was “doing a good job”.

Szél said Russia’s intelligence activities and influence were “a serious problem” for Hungary. She said that the Paks 2 nuclear upgrade project, which is being financed by Russia, was a harmful investment for the country over the long term. Szel argued that instead of “committing” itself to Russia, Hungary should strive to “preserve” its sovereignty and independence.

    RIGHT!!
So these OTHER foreign intelligence agencies, (CIA, MOSSAD, etc. etc) that fail to identify themselves all point to Russian Intelligence activities. Right away they point at PAKS 2, the big fight with the EC, the finance plans was already proven out by American investment houses as a good thing. Now i should believe that it’s a bad thing cause the Russians are spying.
HEY!! Why not go to Washington D.C. and tell me how 75% of the population in that city which are spies are a bad thing…..
