The Prosecutor’s Office of Budapest has charged the 20-year-old man with aggravated assault and armed robbery, for beating and robbing a minor last November in a bus stop.
As it can be clearly seen in the video, the man – who was heavily intoxicated and under the influence of drugs – knocked the teenager, sitting in the bus stop, in the head with a 140 cm long sharp wooden stick. The boy was writing a message to his mother on his phone, waiting for his bus, when the man snuck up on him from behind and beat him.
The boy suffered a minor concussion as well as a fractured neck, the people on the street called him an ambulance and the police. According to the forensic expert, it was only luck and a coincidence that the boy was not injured more seriously.
The Prosecutor’s Office of Budapest requested 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment if the perpetrator pleads guilty at the preliminary hearing. The prosecution also suggested that the 15-year-old boy be treated as a special witness by the court.
