Following the brief cooling trend in the middle of the week, warmer weather is once again on the way in Hungary. Summer-like heat will gradually return over the weekend, with temperatures approaching 30 degrees Celsius in many places by Sunday.

More sunshine is expected

According to weather forecasts, clouds will break up from the northwest on Saturday, allowing the sun to shine for several hours across the country.

In the morning and early afternoon, rain or showers may still occur, primarily in the southeastern part of the country; later, however, scattered showers and possibly the occasional thunderstorm may develop east of the Danube.

Daytime highs on Saturday will range between 23 and 28 degrees, and by evening, temperatures will drop to between 14 and 21 degrees, according to the HungaroMet weather forecast.

Sunday could be beach weather

The warming trend will continue on Sunday. Along with some cumulus clouds, plenty of sunshine is expected, while showers or thunderstorms may occur only in isolated areas. The north-northwesterly wind may pick up at times, but this won’t prevent temperatures from rising.

Highs are expected to range between 25 and 30 degrees, so in many places, fans of outdoor activities can once again look forward to perfect beach weather.

The possibility of thunderstorms remains

However, meteorologists warn that isolated, weak thunderstorms may develop on Sunday near the northern border and in the western part of the country in the evening.

These may be accompanied in some places by heavy rain, temporary gusts of wind, and small hail.
