Budapest (MTI) – Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto held talks with Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hor Namhong, in Luxembourg on Thursday.

The foreign ministry said in a statement that Hungary-Cambodia trade grew to seven-fold in the recent period and there is significant further growth potential.

As a result of economic and political changes in Cambodia, a middle class is developing with new consumption trends, and there is demand for Hungarian food products and construction technologies.

The ministers agreed on make full use of a scholarship scheme, and the Cambodian government asked Hungary’s help in the preservation of its historical heritage, the statement said.
