Szijjarto signs deals on gas supply, railway carriage production in Russia
Moscow, June 17 (MTI) – Foreign minister Peter Szijjarto agreed on changes to Hungary’s gas supply contract, as well as on cooperation to produce 700 railway carriages for the Egyptian market with his Russian counterparts in St Petersburg on Friday.
Speaking by phone from the 20th International Economic Forum, Szijjarto said that Hungary’s gas supplies from Russia were ensured until 2019.
Concerning the Paks nuclear plant upgrade project, Szijjarto said that the scheme was on schedule.
On the sidelines of the forum, Szijjarto had talks with Russia’s industry and trade minister Denis Manturov, Gazprom chief Aleksei Miller, energy minister Aleksandr Novak, and Rosatom head Sergey Kirienko.
