Szijjarto to Meet NATO Secretary General in Brussels
Budapest, November 15 (MTI) – Foreign minister Peter Szijjarto is scheduled to participate in meetings of the Council of the European Union in Brussels on Monday and Tuesday and he will have separate meetings with the NATO Secretary General and his counterparts from Britain, Greece and Cyprus, the ministry press chief said on Saturday.
Judit Fulop said Szijjarto will meet Jens Stoltenberg, the NATO chief, Philip Hammond, the UK’s foreign minister, Evangelos Venizelos, Greece’s deputy prime minister and minister of foreign affairs and Ioannis Kasoulidis, Cyprus’s foreign minister.
Szijjarto will participate in a working meeting of the foreign affairs council, where the Ukraine conflict will be on the agenda, Fulop said. He will also participate in the general meeting of the nations’ government members to discuss the EU rule of law initiative, strengthening annual and multi-annual inter-institutional programming and the setting up of the energy union for far-sighted climate policy.
