That was close! Bus just passes oncoming train in Hungary – VIDEO
A bus driver drove into a level crossing despite the forbidden sign in Piliscsév. The driver, who also broke the railway gate, was very lucky because he was able to drive off the tracks right in front of the train arriving at the station.
The man drove into the level crossing, despite the semaphore’s red sign and the horizontal position of the railway gate. He avoided the left part of the gate, crossing the line and into the opposite lane. The driver failed to maintain sufficient lateral clearance during the manoeuvre and broke the railway gate.
Bus driver prosecuted
The Tatabánya District Prosecutor’s Office is prosecuting the irresponsible Volánbusz bus driver for negligent violation of traffic safety. The prosecution asked the bus driver to pay a fine and to be banned from driving on the road.

What’s the matter with a driver like this? They’re supposed to be highly trained professionals, yet they IGNORE the red lights and barriers of a level crossing. Why??? It’s utterly crazy. Do they not think they’re running the risk of instant dismissal and the end of their career?
I wouldn’t dream of ignoring the stop lights as a car driver, much less as a bus driver….
