The 74-year-old GP arrested for child pornography is a sexual predator convicted in the USA

The general practitioner arrested in Balassagyarmat, Northern Hungary, was on the list of sexual offenders in the USA decades ago. Police arrested Rezső S. last Tuesday because they found pornographic images depicting children on his computer and cell phone. Furthermore, authorities discovered that he took some of the photos.
As reported before, the police did a house search in his place and workplace in February because they accused him of forging documents. Based on media information, he prescribed narcotics for members of a gang. Police seized his computer and cell phone and found unlawful content on them.

Hvg.hu says that his colleagues characterised him as a silent, introverted person. They added that he frequently posted photos of his godson on Facebook. He lived in the USA and Mexico for decades, so he spoke Hungarian with an accent when he returned home. One of his acquaintances said that Rezső S. had lived in Mexico for 8-9 years.
Based on the Hungarian news website, he was born in Győr,
studied in the NDCL (Notre Dame-Cathedral School) in Ohio in 1961,
and got married in 1972. According to the website of Semmelweis University, Budapest, he graduated in 1976 as a doctor with cum laude.
According to hvg.hu, Rezső S. appears in the US register of the doctors who used to work in the country. They found the minutes of his court trial, stating that he received his licence in Ohio in 1980. He then moved to New York and in 1983 to Danville, a small town of 30,000 inhabitants in Illinois.
He had a good reputation there.
For example, he was elected to the organising committee of American-Hungarian events. Problems started with him in Danville in the 1990s when he was accused of sexual harassment.
