The 8th district of Budapest is becoming more and more popular among foreigners, like the 7th district which is known for its ruin pubs. Even Vogue, BBC, CNN, The Guardian and Condé Nast Traveler praised the neighborhood, divany.hu wrote.
Now, TripAdvisor made its annual list where Palazzo Zichy on LĹ‘rinc pap Square was selected as the best Hungarian hotel. The building is located in the fancier part of the district and it was popular among foreign visitors last year as well: Trivago chose it the best hotel in 2015. The 80-room, 4-star boutique hotel was originally owned by the Zichy family; the current owner bought it in 2007 and it opened as a hotel in 2009.
Divany.hu reports that the prices are not so high. One night costs on average EUR 59-101 (HUF 18,500-32,000).
Besides Palazzo Zichy, there are other hotels on the list from the 8th district: Fraser Residence Budapest of Nagy Templom Street finished 9th, and Hotel Nemzeti Budapest on Blaha Lujza Square finished 10th. Bo18 was ranked 11th on the list of the best Hungarian hotels. Here you can see the whole list of TripAdvisor, while the Hungarian results are available here.
