The Mummies of the World exhibition in Budapest – It can only be visited until 20 January
The exhibition presents fascinating mummies and artifacts on loan from world museums, universities, scientific organizations and private collections from around the world.
IN EUROPE FOR THE FIRST TIME
The Mummies of the World exhibition was created in the United States in collaboration with renowned scientists, archaeologists, doctors and anthropologists. Over 1,6 million people visited the exhibition in the US and therefore it became the most visited show of its kind.
JVS GROUP has gained a worldwide reputation by organizing large world exhibitions such as Titanic, Body The Exhibition, or Cosmos Discovery, thanks to which they have been entrusted with the European premiere of the Mummies of the World exhibition.
THE LARGEST COLLECTION IN THE WORLD
American scientists, along with universities, collaborated on creating the show. However, several world museums and private collectors have also participated. This has made it possible to create a unique collection of original mummies and other artifacts.
The exhibition Mummies of the World with its range of historical and scientific value, is one of a kind. This is the largest collection of mummies in the world.
ONE OF THE MOST INTERESTING EXHIBITS
The Vác Mummies
The prosperous town of Vác, Hungary, hid a deadly killer. Tuberculosis, which killed many of its inhabitants, including a young married couple named Orlovits and their three children. Their mummies were discovered in 1994 in a long forgotten underground crypt. Their bodies mummified by the perfect natural conditions.
