Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is a versatile star in Hollywood, he is an actor, professional pancrator, bodybuilding icon, American football league owner, businessman and producer. It is only natural that he has a massive following around the world. Currently, he has nearly 400 million followers on Instagram alone. ‘The Rock’ is one of the most popular figures at Madame Tussauds, with fans in London, New York, Las Vegas, Dubai, Amsterdam and Berlin. Many take selfies with the celebrity‘s wax figure, but we can understand the fascination and admiration.
The making of the wax figure
The half-Samoan world star, Dwayne Johnson, actively participated in creating his wax figure for Madame Tussauds. In 2019, he modelled for wax artists, resulting in thousands of shots used to craft a look-alike posing on the red carpet. Johnson, who selected the outfit for his figure, has met it several times. The figure recently arrived from Dubai, is dressed in a replica of the powder blue suit Johnson wore to the New York premiere of “Skyscraper.”
Back in Budapest
The real flesh and bone Dwayne Johnson has previously spent 174 days in Budapest, during the filming of “Hercules”. The shootings took place primarily in Páty and Rákospalota and involved around 500 Hungarian extras. Hungarian top model Barbara Palvin has a small role in the film as well. Luckily, you can meet her at Madame Tussauds Budapest too.
Birthday surprises
According to Madame Tussauds, ‘The Rock’ is not part of the permanent collection in Budapest, but he will stick around for a couple of months. However, the great news does not stop there. The arrival of two new stars was also announced. The new wax figures will be additions to the permanent collection, featuring an impressive line-up of 54 celebrities.
