Ukraine accession ‘would drag terror in EU’s eastern border’, Orbán’s Fidesz says

Forcing through Ukraine’s accession to the European Union “would drag terror in the EU’s eastern border”, the communications director of the ruling Fidesz-Christian Democrats (KDNP), Alexandra Szentkirályi, said on Facebook on Friday, commenting on bomb threats sent to 8 schools earlier that day.
“I don’t want fear to become part of our everyday lives,” Szentkirályi said. “This Friday was about fear for hundreds of Hungarian schoolchildren and their parents, because a Ukrainian refugee boy and his companions, who knows why, decided to threaten eight schools with bombs.”
The National Office of Investigation cooperated with the FBI and arrested the culprits, Szentkirályi said. “All this means only that we must be even more vigilant and do everything in our power to eliminate even a chance of such a tragedy … that’s why it’s important that everyone takes a step towards peace,” she said.
