Hungary is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric European countries that attract many tourists from different corners of the globe. It is a multicultural state from various sides, so you will hardly feel like a fish out of the water if you decide to study there. A huge number of international students choose Budapest academic institutions to pursue higher education. And this is not surprising since, along with its numerous sights, and plenty of options for spending quality time, Hungary also offers affordable, top-quality education of European standards. So, what should you know about getting a degree in the universities of Budapest?

The higher education system in Hungary

Hungary, like all European countries, offers applicants standardized higher education programs. Thus, it will take 3-4 years for a bachelor’s degree and an additional 2-3 years for getting a master’s degree. All colleges and universities can provide you with a bachelor’s degree here, while you should apply to a university if you need a master’s degree. The standards and assessments of studying correspond to the generally accepted European system of ECTS when they sum up your credit points. Thus, they determine whether you are ready to proceed to the next course. If you feel like you cannot keep up with the curriculum, it is better to turn for help beforehand. Especially considering you can get a speedy paper discount code and save a pretty penny.

There are four main languages chosen for teaching and learning. Thus, if you speak Hungarian, English, German, or French, you can try your luck there. And it is not a big deal if you don’t know the national language.

The learning process is very intense. Workshops, disputations, and discussions are among popular forms of interacting in classes. Everyone knows that practical skills are of great importance, and here you can gain experience in top-rated national and international companies. By the way, you will hardly be expelled from the university since they prefer to make students with low academic performance re-master certain subjects.

Benefits of studying in universities of Budapest

Graduates of Hungarian universities receive diplomas that are highly ranked around the world. Foreigners tend to get medical education here since the World Health Organization recognizes the diplomas of Hungarian medical universities and colleges. Thus, you will be able to get medical practice in any clinic in the world. And if you are afraid that you will hardly cope with all the assignments, you can always get help with writing nursing papers to devote time to some other key subjects.

Most Hungarian universities work in partnership with British and American universities.

So, you can receive two diplomas upon graduation. The main training areas are marketing, management, banking, tourism, advertising,  and other popular professions.

International students have a chance to save money thanks to scholarships, grants, and various discount systems. For example, students with high grades (at least 4,6) can get discounts on future semesters. International students can also apply for university scholarships. Various types of financial support from the council may help you cover an impressive part of expenses.

Budapest Business School

It is on the list of the best economics schools in the country.

Professors and researchers of this university constantly publish their works in specialized journals, participate in conferences and workshops.

73% of alumni don’t stay unemployed for longer than seven months after graduation. You can choose a program in the four languages mentioned above. You will find different faculties: economics, commerce, tourism, international management, finance, and others. Just pay attention to the language of teaching when choosing a future specialty. You will have to spend about 2,500 euros for one semester in this school.

Budapest University of Economics and Technology

It is the top-rated academic institution in Hungary. It was founded two centuries ago as one of the first technical universities. The goal of each of the eight faculties is to help students achieve high academic performance.

One of the highest employment rates after graduation, many scientific breakthroughs, and four Nobel Prize winners suggest that you will get high-quality education here.

You can study engineering, architecture, programming, natural sciences, economics, etc. However, it can be a challenge to apply to this university. Applicants must successfully pass the entrance exams in Math, Physics, English, and Drawing (for the Faculty of Architecture). Suppose you fail to gain the required number of points on the exam. In that case, you can apply for the training program and try your luck once again in a year. You will have to spend from 3,400 to 4,700 euros per semester.

Corvinus University of Budapest

It is one of the multilingual universities where they teach in Hungarian, German, French, and English. The main task of the university is to maintain international standards and help students broaden their horizons.

The university focuses on three areas: business, economics, sociology.

You can choose a wide range of subjects in English. If you have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, you can choose a 1-year program to expand your specialty knowledge.

There are well-tailored training programs for those who have some doubts about their abilities and want to improve their knowledge before becoming a first-year student. You will have to pay 2,450 euros per semester but bear in mind that the university obliges you to pay for the year of study at once. The university’s main building is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
