US State Dept hands over agrement for Szemerkenyi
Budapest, January 22 (MTI) – The US Department of State has handed over its agrement to the Hungarian embassy, under which Reka Szemerkenyi, Hungary’s new ambassador to the US, can take up her post in Washington, the foreign ministry announced.
The document was requested by Hungary on November 21, 2014 and received on Wednesday, the ministry said in a statement, and noted that there had been no delay in the procedure.
Szemerkenyi will replace Gyorgy Szapary in Washington.
Colleen Bell, the new US ambassador to Hungary, presented her credentials to President Janos Ader on Wednesday.
