Usual problem with writing an essay
Of all the types of creative written works, it is the writing of the essay that often becomes the greatest difficulty and problem for students. This is because in the text the author must express his or her own opinion on this issue. Many students believe that it is enough to simply list several points of view of authoritative authors on a particular issue and interpret them. However, the student is required to submit one’s own vision of the issue under consideration.

This problem is especially relevant for first-year students. At the initial stage of studying, students’ own point of view on a particular problem has either not yet been formed or is in the process of formation, so writing an essay is associated with certain difficulties. It is true for students majoring in various subjects. Many of them are looking for law essay help, philosophy argumentative essay writing, or literature analysis. Sometimes, it is the only possibility for them to get a perfect grade.
The problem of substantiating a student’s own point of view is often adjoined by the problem of the discrepancy between their vision of the issue and the opinion of the professor.
For example, when writing an essay on history, the most acute, problematic periods of our history act as topics, which the professor and student can perceive differently due to the ideological principles, worldview, and other factors.
Several Useful Tips
First, use all the materials you found when preparing for the essay.
Do not forget the logical and chronological sequences. In some disciplines, such as history or philosophy, chronology will be of primary importance. Do not forget to include footnotes in the text of the work to easily make a list of references at the end of the paper.
Secondly, the grade of your essay will depend on two factors — the ability to work with sources, and the ability to express your own opinion. To show the ability to work with sources, it is necessary to cite the opinions of famous people or scientific articles on the topic under study in their work. In this case, there are used appropriate introductory phrases “according to …” or “as for …”. These expressions make it clear that you carefully studied the topic of your essay, prepared an excellent base of materials for writing it.
To express your opinion on the issue, it is enough just to independently analyze, agree or disagree, with the mentioned opinions.
At the end of the main part, there should be made a conclusion based on one’s own opinion regarding the main topic of the essay. The principle of “interview” should be used here. Imagine that you are giving an interview to a well-known publication or a well-known live broadcast, guided by the principle of fewer words, more reflection on the topic.
A lot of controversial issues arise in the design of the paper structure. Often when writing an essay, teachers require its standard design with the introduction, the main part, conclusion. This is not always followed by the student. An essay has strict requirements and should also be formatted according to indicated formatting styles. It is essential to follow all of these requirements each time you are working on an essay.
To fulfill these conditions, it is enough to carefully read the materials of the guidelines.
The most important thing when writing creative works is not to be afraid of the difficulties that arise but to solve them methodically and gradually.
