V4 countries to sign joint tourism plan
Budapest, February 5 (MTI) – Visegrad Four countries on Wednesday will join together to promote tourism this year.
Hungary is holding the rotating V4 presidency until June 30, and the Hungarian tourism agency has invited partner organisations from the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia to Budapest to finalise the joint plans for 2014.
Government officials of the V4 countries will sign a related accord today.
Marketing campaigns will be fewer but enjoy higher budgets.
The 2014 plan includes training tour operators in the United States as well as holding workshops in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Georgia, a roadshow in Russia’s Asian territories, and the continuation of a popular community media campaign in Japan.
The V4 countries will jointly participate in events in Brazil, Singapore, Australia and South Africa.
As the closure of Hungary’s V4 presidency, Hungary’s GPS Cityguide will release several new V4 packages of its smartphone sightseeing application ‘PocketGuide’.
The target markets of the V4 countries are the United States, Latin America, India, Japan, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Australia, South Africa and the Arab states of the Persian Gulf.
