Venice Biennale Hungarian Bureau will be in Ludwig Museum
Budapest (MTI) – Venice Biennale Hungarian Bureau is working in the Ludwig Museum of Contemporary Art from Thursday – said the Cultural State Secretariat of the Ministry of Human Resources to MTI.
With its prepared experts and international relations, the 25 year-old institute provides outstanding professional and academic background for the State Secretariat led by National Commissioner Monika Balatoni, which is responsible for the coordination of the Hungarian participation of the 56th International Art Biennale – read in the State Secretariat’s statement.
Under the decision, the HUF 68.8 million financial framework, which is provided from the state budget and is equal with the grant of the previous years, will be go to the Ludwig Museum. This amount will cover the establishment and the operation of the four-person bureau of the National Commissioner within the institutional framework of the Ludwig Museum, MTI says.
Venice Biennale is one of the most important international festivals of the contemporary art from 1895. Hungary will be represented on the Venice International Art Biennale by the project entitled Sustainable identity of artist Szilard Cseke and curator Kinga German, based on the nine-member jury’s decision. The event is taking place between 9 May and 22 November 2015.
