Disturbing VIDEO: Car hits mother and her 2 children on a pedestrian crossing at Lake Balaton
A disturbing video has emerged showing a vehicle striking a mother and her two children while they were on a pedestrian crossing in Fonyód, a popular vacation spot located on the Southern shores of Lake Balaton. Footage of the accident was posted on the official Facebook page of the Somogy County Police Headquarters. You can watch it in our article below.
According to Blikk, a Hungarian tabloid, the incident occurred on Monday in Fonyód, a picturesque town near Lake Balaton. Two cars approached an intersection from opposite directions at the same time, both intending to turn left. However, it appears that the Seat driver became distracted by the Suzuki. Focused on the other vehicle’s movements, the Seat driver failed to notice that a mother with her children intended to cross the street. The Seat accelerated, leading to an unavoidable collision. Neither the pedestrians nor the vehicle had time to react.
Fortunately, despite the alarming video, no one sustained injuries. The driver at fault received a fine and has been banned from driving for eight months. The video has already garnered over 1.7 million views:
