We have not seen this at Hungarian petrol stations since last summer

Soon, we will see a situation at petrol stations that we have not seen for a long time. From Wednesday, fuel prices will change at a rate not seen since July.

According to holtankoljak.hu, the wholesale prices of petrol and diesel will both change from Wednesday, 29 March.

The purchase price of petrol will rise by HUF 6 gross. Meanwhile, petrol stations will have to pay HUF 3 gross less for diesel, forbes.hu reports.

Accordingly, the prices will be as follows:

  • 95 petrol: HUF 612/litre (EUR 1.59)
  • Gas oil: HUF 603/litre (EUR 1.57)

Since last summer, petrol has not been more expensive per litre than diesel.
