A 28-year-old adventure seeker has been to 154 countries in 8 years. He makes videos of his travels, followed by almost 200,000 people on Youtube. It is his recurring habit that in each country where he goes, he asks the local people which country do they love or hate the most.
Gustav is a real travel addict. The 28-year-old traveller has visited more than 150 countries in 8 years. Of course, Hungary could not be left out of his list either. The traveller asks the people in English which country they like and which they hate the most? In addition to the country’s name, people also have to justify why they love or hate it.
The video, in which Hungarians tell which their favourite country is, has already been seen by more than 50,000 people. In the background of the 4-minutes-long video, you can see the iconic locations of Budapest, such as Freedom Bridge. While in the background, the Hungarian national anthem is playing.
The most popular countries were Spain, Italy, Germany and Portugal.
However, the USA, India, the Netherlands, France and Denmark also received many votes. Austria, Romania, the Czech Republic and Croatia received 1-1 votes each. The winner was Italy, which was most popular for its food. Denmark was favoured because of the kindness of the people. Austria, Romania and Croatia are sympathetic to many because they are easy to visit from Hungary. Interestingly, no one said Poland, although in principle Hungary and Poland have a legendary good relationship.
Gus also asked if there was a country that Hungarians did not like.
This video has been viewed by over 100,000 times. Then answers were quite varied. Almost none of the countries received more than one vote, except for China and Romania. Mexico got votes for a lot of crimes, while India got votes for dirt. Someone likes the US less, and someone likes Albania less. However, most of the Hungarians did not have a country they did not like.
